Eau de Cologne mint

A dark stemmed mint which was used to make the original Eau de Cologne. It has a slight lemony fragrance and is said to keep flies away. It can be used as regular mint, in sauces, in which the taste changes when cooked, just leaving a minty lemony flavour. Small purple flowers can be seen in summer. It should be planted in a container, as it is can spread very quickly, and it likes moisture, so keep moist. Suitable for sun or light shade.
