Catmint 'Purrsian Blue'

Catmiont is a versatile, long flowering perennial that requires little care and will reward you with masses of blue-mauve flowers for most of the summer between May and September. The variety  'Purrsian Blue' is a little more compact than some variety at around 45 x 45 cms, with dark blue-purple flowers,  making it a good choice for sunny borders and beds. The flowers are attractive to bees & butterflies, & the foliage is pleasantly aromatic. It requires well-drained soil in sun or light shade, and is drought-tolerant when established. Cut down to 2-3 inches in late autumn / winter. It forms a neat mound to 45cm tall, but if not cut back, it can reach to 60cm wide in its second year. As a herb, catmint can be used for pot-pouri and for cat pouches - they adore the scent. 2L pot. Please note, items displayed on this website may not be available in each of our shops.
