Silver birch, Beith Gheal (bare root 60-90cms)

Our native silver birch is a fast-growing, easy and attractive medium-sized tree. Birch trees have small leaves and silvery-white bark. They can be grown near to buildings without causing any damage or taking too much light, as they cast only a light shadow. Perfect for smaller gardens, the edge of woods or in small informal groves. A great favourite with architects and designers as the attractive bark and light leaves make it a good partner with modern buildings, and also for year-round interest. Suitable as part of a mix in a native woodland.
