Japanese aralia

A medium-sized shrub with large, glossy, leaves up to 45cm wide. A good plant for bringing a tropical, evergreen look to a garden, and easy-to-grow too. It forms a rounded shrub up to 2-3m in height and width and prefers a shady position out of direct sunlight - you do need space. When it matures it will have round heads of white flowers which turn into black berries. It is tolerant of seaside conditions but best in sheletered and not full sun. 30-40cms tall plants in a 2L container. Please note, items displayed on this website may not be available in each of our shops.
