Krazee Klipping
Sometimes a very ordinary plant can be shaped and clipped into something quite special. It shows that if a plant is loved, cared for and manipulated, it can look very different from the way nature intended; not that nature's version of the same plant would be any less beautiful. But 'crazy clipping' brings fun and character to gardens.

Pyracantha growing against a wall in Marino, Co Dublin. Two different varieties (one red, one orange) grow from a very small planting hole on either side of the front door. This plant can be prickly and unruly when left to its own devides. But, when regularly clipped and pruned it can make a wonderfully solid plant; almost evergreen and covered in autumn and winter with colourful berries.
