Pappelina Plastic Rugs

There's always a buzz of excitement when we start stocking a new product, especially when it's as nice as these Pappelina rugs. We came across these hand-woven Swedish plastic rugs at a trade fair and felt they would be perfect for our shop. They can be used indoors and outdoors, are incredibly practical, hard-wearing and useful and, most of all, they look fabulous. Customers who seem them in the shop regale us with sories of how they have had one since the 1970s or 1980s; of how there used to be someone in Dublin who sold them but who disappeared many years ago; of how they have used them in boats, holiday homes, hallways, porches,patios, decks, halls or kitchens; of how they have washed them with a hose, mopped them, put them in the machine or left them in the rain. These are the same rugs, and they are still made in Sweden using materials that are safe, non-toxic and long-lasting.
