Pyrus salicifolia 'Pendula'
Weeping silver pear
Price: €45.00
The weeping silver pear is a small, silver-leaved tree that has white flowers is late April and May. It is a hardy, tough little tree that is well-suited to urban or suburban gardens. The silver foliage and white flowers make it a good candidate for planting with other white or silver perennials and shrubs. It has the benefit too of responding well to clipping - it is sometimes clipped into a lollipop-shaped 'standard'. Left to its own devices it makes a small tree approx 4 metres in height and up to 4 metres across. Suited to most soils types, including alkaline soils, and to most locations, it is a deservedly popular tree. 7-8ft tall plants. Plants displayed on this website may not be available in each of our shops.
