'Paul's Scarlet' flowering hawthorn

Hawthorns can make excellent, compact trees which are ideally suited to the smaller garden. Dark red berries over the winterprovide food for birds, and pretty flowers in May are a very attractive sight. 'Paul's Scarlet' has a mass of dark pink flowers. Hawthorns are very hardy and adaptable small trees which can cope with a variety of conditions. Ideally, plant in well-drained, fertile soil in sun or light shade.
