A Hardenbergia violacea we have growing in a pot in our Dunboyne shop has been flowering for months on end. It is one of the variety of new climbers, shrubs and trees that are arrived into our Dunboyne shop. Hardenbergia requires a sheltered site in the garden, but is perfect for coastal areas, like Monkstown and Blackrock, but could also be kept in an unheated greenhouse, away from frost in the winter.

(January 2020) Our Airfield shop has just received a delivery of Camellias, Magnolias, fruit trees, roses, climbers and shrubs. One of our favourites is Daphne 'Jaqueline Postill'. We have it in our unheated polytunnel, and the moment you walk in you are overwhelmed with its beautiful fragrance. It can, however be brought outside at this time of the year, where you will smell it every time you walk by.
